A downloadable book
“Solitude and Yearning” is a beautiful gay romance short story of over 21,000 words, which explores a long-distance relationship between two twin flames.
Tristan is a 27-year-old expat from Belgium who works as a wine marketer in a vineyard in southern Argentina. He’s a shy and lonely man who struggles to get close to other people, but his life changes completely after he logs into an anonymous chat as a volunteer. There, he meets Reynart: a fellow Belgian that’s just 3 years older than him, and works as a voice actor in an animation studio in Brussels.
The two don’t hit it off right away. On the contrary; even though Tristan does his best to help Reynart with his problems, he can’t stop secretly judging him. And his opinion of the man, is poor for a good reason: Reynart is a seducer, heartbreaker and cheat.
Fate make the two meet during an opera performance in the Grand Theater in Buenos Aires. Despite a negative first impression, Tristan develops an unexplained liking for Reynart, who turns out to be deep, kind and empathetic man, one endowed with a wonderful sense of humor. The two bond over common interests, but soon, it becomes undeniable that their connection goes deeper than that.
Will Tristan ever find the courage to confess to Reynart? If yes, will Reynart find the strength to extricate himself from his current, unhappy relationship, and give this love a try?

About the Purchase:
Please know that by purchasing this ebook through itch.io at its listed price, you're directly supporting the authorbrand and the publisher, and contributing to a movement that ensures writers receive fair compensation for their work.
Why this matters: Many large retailers offer subscription-based reading services where authors often receive minimal compensation for their work—sometimes mere cents for hundreds of pages read. This model, while convenient for readers, often undervalues authors' efforts and creativity, and books that don't sign up lose the popularity race, devoiding the author of any purchases. By buying this e-book directly through itch.io, you're supporting a fairer model that better recognizes the author's work.
